Born and sculpted through the landscapes of Western Montana, Michael Billington is a man of the Earth. He has studied Wildland Ecology, Agroecology, and Indigenous culture at the University of Montana as well as Permaculture at Woodbine Center for Ecology. Independently he has studied under mentors such as Mark Vandermeer of Watershed Consulting, Sepp Holzer, and Michael Pilarski.
His skills include: Earthworks design, installation, and management; Herbal medicine; Traditional Living Skills; Timberframing; and Snowboarding Instruction.
The roles and responsibilities of Michael's at the Place of Gathering pertain to the oversight and management of farm operations, Earthworks, and Nature based learning for youth and adult.
